The Cinema Society hosts a screening of "War Horse"

 

Actor Peter Hermann rode two horses in New York last weekend when he performed in a matinee of the Broadway show “War Horse” and walked off stage to head to a screening of Steven Spielberg’s film version of the same project. Hermann escorted his wife, Mariska Hargitay, to the Cinema Society screening, which also drew Jim Caviezel, Clive Davis, Brooke Shields and Jason Reitman at the Tribeca Grand. The Disney movie is gaining Oscar buzz and will have a world premiere on Dec. 4 at Avery Fisher Hall. The screening left the crowd so verklempt that some audience members headed straight to the restroom to compose themselves.
